Rib Steak Recipe

This recipe is a simple way to make the delicious barbecued rib steak an even more incredible taste sensation. Make this simple marinade 2 or 3 days before you are going to serve your steaks for the best flavor experience. Photo courtesy  Hannah Ford.
This recipe was inspired by  The Chez Piggy Cookbook

4 cloves of garlic, chopped
2 1/2 tbl black pepper corns coarsely ground
1/4 cup olive oil (light tasting)
6 rib steaks
Mix the garlic, peppercorns and oil together in a small skillet. Warm over a low heat to allow the garlic flavor to be infused into the oil. Cool and brush onto both sides of the steak. Marinate covered in a glass dish for 2 to 3 days in the refrigerator. Before grilling, remove the steaks from the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes.

We quite often just make a 1/2 recipe for 2 steaks. Use a mortar pestle for the pepper corns, not pre ground black pepper. If you don't have a mortar pestle, place your pepper corns in a sandwich bag, cover with a tea towel and bag them with a hammer. Not very elegant but it works!
